This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the permitted and prohibited uses of KnoxProxy services. It exists to protect our network, our users, and the internet ecosystem. Violations may result in immediate suspension.
02Permitted uses
KnoxProxy is designed for lawful public-data collection, including:
- Web scraping of publicly available data
- Market research and competitive intelligence
- Ad verification and brand protection
- SEO monitoring and SERP tracking
- Academic research
- Quality assurance and testing
- Price comparison and aggregation
03Prohibited uses
You may not use KnoxProxy to:
- Access systems or data without authorization
- Engage in credential stuffing, brute-force attacks, or account takeover
- Distribute malware, phishing, or spam
- Conduct denial-of-service attacks
- Circumvent access controls on copyrighted content or streaming services
- Facilitate any activity that violates applicable law
- Engage in fraud or misrepresentation
- Scrape personal data in violation of GDPR, CCPA, or equivalent regulations
- Resell or sublicense proxy access without written permission
04Rate limits and fair use
KnoxProxy enforces rate limits to protect network stability. Exceeding published limits may result in throttling or temporary suspension. Abusive patterns (e.g., flooding a single target) will be flagged by automated systems.
05Enforcement
Violations are handled proportionally: first violation typically receives a warning with 24h to remediate; repeated or severe violations result in suspension; criminal activity is reported to law enforcement. All enforcement actions are logged in the audit trail.
